Anna Mangum is Director of Programs and Membership.  In this role, Ms. Mangum leads SNHPA’s efforts to identify, design and implement new programs and services and conducts strategic planning activities. She also spearheads the organization’s efforts to recruit new member hospitals. In addition, Ms. Mangum manages the Alliance to Protect 340B, an initiative of approximately 50 member hospitals aimed at addressing several major regulatory threats to the 340B program.

Most recently, she was Director of New Business Development for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).  NCQA develops and implements accreditation, certification and other measurement and reporting programs to improve the performance of America's managed care and other health insurance plans.  In that capacity, Ms. Mangum identified and helped design new evaluation products and programs for emerging healthcare areas such as disease management and medication therapy management. Prior to her tenure with NCQA, Ms. Mangum worked in San Francisco for The Healthcare Forum, where she developed and oversaw a variety of educational programs for hospital executives.  While in the Bay Area, she was an evaluation and program design consultant for a number of non-profit health and prevention organizations.  Ms. Mangum’s public policy experience includes serving as a Congressional staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Ms. Mangum earned her Master of Public Health and Master of Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley. She earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia and received a Fulbright Scholarship to compare health care systems in the United States and Scandinavia.
